In its first year, the giving day received 122 donations totaling $31,640 through online and in-person donations.
Individuals and businesses stepped up in their support for the 2024 Southwest Nebraska Big Give, with the largest number of organizations participating in its nine-year history, the Big Give also reached record numbers in donations.
More than 25,000 donations were received for the 13th annual event.
Nearly $250,000 has been raised throughout this year’s Norfolk Area Big Give with more than 2,600 donations, according to Thursday morning totals posted to its website.
The 2023 Keith County Big Give concluded with a total of 748 donations that raised $256,475. The Paxton Volunteer Fire and Rescue claimed the top spot on the leaderboard with $15,672 raised.
For Give to Lincoln Day, the Lincoln Community Foundation will be matching $500,000 as a part of a challenge match fund.
The 11th annual Give to Lincoln Day on May 26 raised a record-breaking $8,006,074, almost $80,000 over the previous record set last year.
